Dear Richmond Friends,

I'm sorry to inform you that if you were planning on hearing me play at The Camel on Friday night (with Charles Theodore, Chris Volpe, and Mermaid Skeletons), you will only be hearing Charles Theodore and Chris Volpe.

Both The Mermaid Skeletons and I are very sad to not be playing, but someone, somewhere, never told someone somewhere else that we were playing and now a whole other person will not call or write us back.

It's weird.

But hey, that's show business!!!!!?!

I encourage you, though, to still go and listen to Charles Theodore and Chris Volpe.

If people stop going to shows, then people will stop coming to town to play shows, and then Richmond will be just like one million other sad cities with nothing live to listen to.

People (and venues) should take note of that.

Sorry again, but please, please come say hello next time.

Love, Liza Kate

Hey... This is Charles Theodore, and I just wanted to say that I am so disappointed by Mr. Booking about this (no names needed I guess). So, just a correction: I am, nor is Chris Volpe playing. It won't be any of us. I'm on tour, and I find out three days before that a Friday night (an important night cause on the road you rely on those to get your gas through some of the slower weekly shows) is cancelled. I was really looking forward to sharing a bill with you, and with the Mermaid Skeletons, and I just hope that the camel will make it up to all of us. We are all in the same boat here. It was just serious disorganization on the part of the Camel.

I just hope you don't think I had anything to do with why this fell through. I've been playing in West Virginia (purple fiddle) where there isn't any cell service so I haven't been able to call, but I hope to hear from you in the coming days so we can commiserate and do it right in march. Again, we got totally screwed on this so...
with brotherly love

Oh, Charles Theodore! No worries at all.

It was a bit confusing because I tried for over a week to get the answers and I never heard a thing.

I was still never really contacted - I had to hear everything through someone else.

I was worried you might think it was our fault, but we did try, we did!

Let me know when you come through again (please, come through again) and I'll make sure it happens for real.

love, Liza
